Comment: I was recently unpacking a box of Toby mugs that were my husbands parents and I found a glass clown that looks like it may be Murano. Do you have any suggestions of how to determine if it is actually Murano? There are no labels on it. The clown is approximately 9.5 inches tall with yellow hands & hair, a brown hat, blue nose and the body is multicolored yellow/blue/white swirl. He has a red squiggly line down the front and he is looking off to his right side. Any help would be great! Monica |

Comment: I have recently acquired a glass clown. I am active in selling on Ebay. I knew nothing about glass clowns. I did my normal research. I found that it had the attributes of Seguso. Confetti body, Bow Tie, Top Hat, Bright colors especially considerable Royal Blue. It appeared to me to be of excellent quality 11 inches tall. I took the liberty of advertising it Murano, Seguso. An Ebay member sent a sarcastic message accusing me of false representation. Thank you for your site, I will correct my presentation! |

Comment: Hello everyone. I was at a local thrift store the other day and a large glass clown caught my eye. I purchased the clown not knowing anything about it and after a little research I realized that these clowns have quite a bit of history behind them. What I have is a 13 inch tall, very heavy colorfull clown. He is playing the accordian and is wearing a big red bowtie and a top hat. the sticker on his shoe is circular, red with gold print and reads made in murano italy. I do not know much about these pieces and was hoping someone could give me an idea of how much this piece may be worth. Thank you for your help. |

Comment: It's a wonderful site !!! Complete and interesting. Here in Belgium, Murano clowns are "kitch" ... But I'm sure in a few years ... Amateur people will "re"discover this art! |

Comment: Hi, I'm trying to identify what appears to be a Murano clown. We purchased it in 1964/5 in Weisbaden, Germany for my wife's parents. It has no labels or maker's mark that I can see. The thing that's throwing me off is it is 16" high, whereas most I've seen for sale are in the 8"-12" range. Any help identifying this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Terry |

I looked it up on your site and to my suprise i found the same one it's in the drunken clown collection. with a green hat large orange bow multi colored body blue cuffs with 2 blue buttons holding a champagne color bottle. My question to you is what would this beautiful clown be worth? i do not want to sell it just curious what it would cost if i were to purchase this. |

You have to know that every Real Artistic Murano Glass Piece are made by one Glass Master who signed the piece engraving on the glass his own name and comes even with a certificate! |

She collected clowns forever. This one appears to be Murano, but has unusual pointy blue shoes, blue hair, white hands, a bowtie and little black derby. The lips are white and he has a big black nose. The bowl area is an end of day coloring. Hes good size measuring almost 9" tall and 11" long. He looks to have fell on his bottom, and has his arms and legs stretched upwards. Any info would be helpful. Thank you. |
